Communication begins before we speak or send written messages. We interact with stakeholders through non-verbal messages, based upon our emotional state of being, well before we select a medium to send a message. In this half-day session, you will learn the fundamentals of effective communication, including the relative impact of verbal and nonverbal messages, the strategic use of communication media, the importance of interpreting nonverbal cues correctly, the effective use of emotional intelligence, the importance of being concise and how to turn the sizeable gap between thought rate and speech rate from a liability into an asset.
