INSTRUCTIONS: Think of how your team behaves in conflict situations, where their interests differ from those of others. 

  1. Download the Excel score sheet.
  2. Enter your answer to each question on the Entry Form tab.
  3. When you're done, select the Your Results tab to see your results.
  4. Interpret your results.

Answer each question below about your team in general, using the score sheet you downloaded in Step 1.


 Use the Point Scale Below for your Answers:

1 (Rarely) 2 (Sometimes) 3 (Almost Always) 4 (Always)


QUESTIONS:

  1. They're generally firm in pursuing their goals.
  2. They try to impress their point.

  3. They give up some things to gain other things.

  4. They don't think differences are worth resolving.

  5. They try to find a mid-point between positions.

  6. They try to consider the other person's wishes.

  7. They try to show the logic/benefits of their stance.

  8. They always prefer a direct discussion of the issue.

  9. They try to even the gains and losses for all sides.

  10. They try to work through differences immediately.

  11. They try to avoid uncomfortable situations.

  12. They try to soothe feelings and preserve rapport.

  13. First, they try to uncover all concerns and issues.

  14. Sometimes they avoid taking unpopular positions.

  15. They try not to hurt people's feelings.
